GROOMING SERVICE POLICY

We are so excited to have you as a new client! If you’re interested in our amazing bathing and grooming services, we can’t wait to pamper your furry friend with lots of cuddle and care they deserve. Here are few policies in place to ensure your beloved pet’s safety and happiness.

1. GENERAL POLICIES

We at PAWS & TAILS prioritize the well-being and happiness of your furry family members. By entrusting us with the bathing and grooming services for your pet, you also grant us permission to use their images and likenesses for advertising and social media purposes. We like to showcase the adorable transformations we create! We understand that grooming can be a bit more challenging for our elderly or ill pets, which puts them at a higher risk of injuries. Rest assured, our experienced groomers take extra care when working with these precious souls. Additionally, grooming these pets can unveil hidden medical problems or worsen existing conditions. While our team is skilled and vigilant, we kindly request understanding that PAWS & TAILS cannot be held liable for such circumstances. We strive to provide a safe and pleasant experience for your furry companions, and we appreciate your trust in us!

2. GROOMING VAN SANITATION

Keeping our grooming area safe and clean is our top priority. Before we begin bathing and grooming your beloved pet, our dedicated pet stylist will carefully examine for any signs of fleas or ticks. If we come across any, we would have to postpone the grooming session for the health and well-being of all pets in our care. If your pet requires additional attention, we’ll always recommend a visit to the veterinarian to ensure they receive the proper care and treatment. Your pet’s health and happiness are at the heart of everything we do and we take pride in providing a safe and clean environment for your furry friend during their grooming sessions at PAWS & TAILS.

3. MATTED OR NEGLECTED COAT & SHAVEDOWNS OR CUSTOM CUTS

Allowing a pet’s coat to get matted is not only very uncom- fortable, but unsafe for your pet’s health. Excessive matting can be avoided with regular brushing and grooming and our Stylist will be more than happy to show you some brushing techniques for mat prevention. If the groomer will de-mat the pet (if it’s possible) there will be an additional charge from AED 80.00 – 125.00 on a pet per basis, in addition to the regular grooming fee or the pet will receive a “shave down” to remove the mats. Under this circumstance, a shave down is the only way to allow the skin to receive necessary oxygen and for new, healthy hair to grow. Charges for the shave down or shaving ears and tail if they are matted are determined on a per pet basis. If the client requests the mats be combed out, the groomer will not do so if it causes pet undue stress or pain. Excessive de-matting is a painful, time-consuming and costly procedure that causes extreme discomfort and can aggravate or cause skin problems.

4. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The well-being of our furry friends and dedicated stylists is of utmost importance to us. That’s why our mobile grooming policies prioritize safety and ensure a positive and comfortable experience for everyone involved. We kindly request that clients inform us about any history of biting or aggressive behaviors displayed by their furry companions beforehand. Rest assured, if any aggressive tendencies arise during the grooming session, we will have to postpone the grooming session, in rare cases, gently muzzle the dog to ensure everyone’s safety. Moreover, it is essential to note that we are unable to provide bathing or other services for pets with open sores, cuts, or wounds without consent from the pet owner. By adhering to these guidelines, we strive to maintain a friendly and secure environment for both our stylists and our beloved furry friends.

5. APPOINTMENT / CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULING

We at PAWS & TAILS understand how important it is to be on time for your appointment, and we want to assure you that we will do everything possible to arrive promptly. However, there are certain circumstances such as heavy traffic, bad weather, or even challenging pets that may cause occasional disruptions to our schedule. Rest assured, as your appointment draws near, we will ensure to keep you informed if there are any changes to the schedule. If, for any reason, you would like to cancel/reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that you notify us 24 HOURS prior to your scheduled appointment by WHATSAPP: 052 6654801, EMAIL: support@pawsandtails.ae, CALL: 052 6654801 by providing us the booking ID OR Self Re-scheduling through the booking confirmation received by email. This way we can allocate the time we have reserved for you to another valued customer. Thank you so much for your understanding. Customers who have missed a previous appointment will be asked to pay at the time of booking all future appointments. These payments are non-refundable in the instance of a no show. In the instance of a rescheduling of an appointment giving less than 24 hours’ notice, a rescheduling fee of AED 50.00 will be applicable.

6. PRODUCTS FOR GROOMING

We at PAWS & TAILS place your fuzzy friend’s well-being above everything else. We will never use any harsh chemicals during our bathing and grooming services. We truly grasp the importance of providing your pet with a safe and cozy environment. If your pet happens to have any known skin allergies, we kindly request you to let us know when you schedule your appointment. That way, we can take extra precautions and ensure we use the most suitable products. While we uphold the highest standards and exclusively use gentle, furry friend approved products, we still need to notify you that in the rare instance of an allergic reaction, PAWS & TAILS cannot be held accountable. However, rest assured that we always strive to create a positive experience for both you and your beloved companion at our mobile grooming service

7. PAYMENT OPTIONS

We kindly request a full payment at the time of service, unless prior arrangements have been made. We’re more than happy to work out payment options as follows;

8. YOUR PET’S SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

While accidents are very rare, there is always a risk while working with pets and grooming tools. Our tools are sharp and although we use extreme caution in all situations, possible risks including nicks from clippers or scissors or toenail trimmers can occur. In most cases, this is when a pet is wiggling. In such a circumstance Paws and Tails will notify you of the incident.

9. VACCINATIONS

Pets must have up to date vaccination records on file. You may present it to our Stylists at the time of handing over your furry companion for a grooming session with PAWS & TAILS.
